- David Ramsbotham of Walnut Farm is believed to have been the first Plumstead resident to be elected a County Councillor. David won the election in 2013 and served as a UKIP County Councillor for the Melton Constable Division for four years. He also served 17 years [1996 – 2014] as a Parish Councillor for Plumstead, the last 8 years as Chairman.
